International Design and Construction Online (“e-IDC”) is a privately held Maryland Corporation, established in 1999 by Architect Joseph A. Boggs, FAIA of Annapolis, Maryland. e-IDC was established with the mission of utilizing and aggregating proven, available technologies, and partnering with leading technology companies to deliver online team integration and project storage retention solutions to the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Industry.
e-IDC’s product offerings include the e-IDC Digital Workplace, a collaborative, web-based project management solution that serves as a central repository for construction project documents and communications. Built upon the technology and industry-proven eRoom/Documentum software platform, e-IDC customizes the Digital Workplace to reflect the unique business processes and to address the unique needs of individual AEC companies. It has been successfully implemented in an assortment of capacities including residential, commercial and government (GSA) projects.
e-IDC created the e-Forensic System, a planned derivative of the Digital Workplace to provide an As-Built record of project plans and documents. Subsequently, it was determined to have value inside and outside the AEC in the form of unique emergency preparedness and Homeland Security benefits. This value discovery led to further development of the concept and the creation of the Emergency Response Information System.
